Interior Designer in Esher

Based in Esher, Histon Interiors provides bespoke interior design for homeowners looking to create beautiful, practical and highly personal spaces. Led by qualified architect and interior designer Sophie Histon, we bring more than 25 years of experience to projects ranging from individual rooms to complete home transformations.

Every design is developed around the property, the people living there and how they want their home to feel. Whether you are renovating, moving into a new property or refreshing an existing interior, we can guide you from the initial ideas through to the final details.

Bespoke Interior Design for Esher Homes

Esher has a varied collection of properties, from period homes with distinctive architectural features to contemporary houses and larger family residences. Each presents different opportunities and requires a considered approach. Rather than applying a particular house style, we take time to understand your property and your personal preferences. The result is an interior that complements the architecture while reflecting your taste and supporting everyday life. We carefully consider layout, colour, lighting, furniture, artwork, finishes and materials to create spaces that feel cohesive, comfortable and individual.

Full-Home Interior Design in Esher

A complete home renovation involves hundreds of interconnected decisions. Considering these choices as part of one overall design helps create a consistent result and prevents individual rooms from feeling disconnected. We establish a clear creative direction for the property before developing the details of each space. This can include room layouts, colour palettes, flooring, lighting, furniture, window treatments, artwork and bespoke features. Where required, we can also work alongside your architect, builder and subcontractors, helping ensure that practical decisions remain aligned with the agreed design.

Interior Design for Individual Rooms

You do not need to renovate your whole house to benefit from professional interior design. We can help transform an individual living room, bedroom, dining room, entrance hall or other important space.

We begin by looking at how the room is currently used and identifying what is not working. From there, we can improve its layout, visual balance, storage, lighting and overall character. The completed room should not only look beautiful but also feel comfortable and natural to use.

Interior Architecture and Space Planning

Good interior design begins with the way a space works. Sophie’s architectural background provides an additional level of understanding when considering proportions, movement, layouts and the relationship between different rooms.

Careful space planning can help make better use of the available floor area, improve furniture positioning and create a more natural flow through your home. Addressing these elements early can also prevent expensive changes later in the project.
