Bespoke Interior Design in Surrey
At Histon Interiors, we create beautiful, functional interiors shaped around your home, lifestyle and individual taste. Based in Esher, we provide bespoke interior design services across Surrey, helping clients transform individual rooms and complete properties.
Led by qualified architect and interior designer Sophie Histon, our studio brings more than 25 years of experience to every project. From the first conversation to the finishing touches, we carefully consider every detail to create an interior that feels personal, balanced and made to last.
Interior Design Tailored to Your Home
Every home and client is different, which is why we do not believe in applying the same design formula to every project. We take the time to understand how you use your home, what inspires you and what you would like to change. We then develop a considered interior design scheme that balances appearance with practicality, ensuring the finished space works beautifully for everyday life. Whether you are renovating a Surrey family home, updating a newly purchased property or redesigning an individual room, our service can be adapted to suit the scale and requirements of your project.

Complete Home Interior Design
Redesigning an entire property requires a clear and consistent vision. We consider how each room connects with the next, creating a sense of continuity throughout the home while allowing individual spaces to retain their own character. Our complete home interior design service can cover layouts, finishes, lighting, furniture, artwork and bespoke elements. We can also work closely with your architect, builder and other specialists to help ensure the original design is carried through into the completed property. This joined-up approach helps make the process more manageable while producing an interior that feels coherent and thoughtfully resolved.
Individual Room Design
You may not need to redesign your entire property to make a meaningful difference to how it looks and feels. We can help transform individual living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, entrance halls and other important spaces.
The design can include layout planning, colours, fabrics, furniture, lighting, artwork and accessories, depending on the support you require. Each room is designed around its purpose and the people who use it, resulting in a space that is both attractive and comfortable.
From Initial Ideas to Final Installation
Our process begins with an initial consultation to discuss your property, preferences, practical requirements and budget. This gives us a clear understanding of what you would like to achieve.
We then develop the design through mood boards, layouts, samples and carefully selected finishes. Once the direction has been agreed, we can source furniture, commission bespoke pieces and work alongside builders and subcontractors to bring the scheme to life. Throughout the project, we remain focused on the details that make an interior feel complete, from the proportion of the furniture to the positioning of artwork and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions
What areas of Surrey do you cover?
Histon Interiors is based in Esher and works across Surrey, including Cobham, Oxshott, Weybridge, Kingston and nearby areas. Please contact us if your property is located outside these areas, as we may still be able to help.
Can you design just one room?
Yes. We work on projects of different sizes, from individual rooms to complete home transformations. The level of support can be tailored to the scope of your project.
Do you work with builders and architects?
Yes. We can collaborate with architects, builders, subcontractors and specialist suppliers to help ensure the interior design is implemented as intended.
Can you source furniture and artwork?
Yes. We can source furniture, lighting, accessories and artwork, as well as commission bespoke pieces where the project requires something unique.
How much does an interior design project cost?
The cost will depend on the size of your property, the scope of the work and the materials and furnishings selected. Following an initial discussion, we can recommend the most appropriate service and explain how our design fees will be calculated.
When should I appoint an interior designer?
Ideally, an interior designer should be involved near the beginning of a renovation or building project. Early involvement allows important decisions about layouts, lighting, finishes and furniture to be considered before construction progresses.
